Pasatiempo Golf Club
Pasatiempo Golf Club is a hidden gem nestled in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California. Designed by the legendary architect Alister MacKenzie, the course is a true masterpiece.
Founded in 1929, Pasatiempo has a rich history and has been the site of numerous prestigious tournaments, including the U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship. The course is known for its challenging yet fair layout, featuring rolling hills, towering eucalyptus trees, and strategically placed bunkers and water hazards.
One of the standout features of Pasatiempo is the use of MacKenzie’s signature “MacKenzie greens,” which are known for their undulating surfaces and difficult-to-read breaks. These greens are a true test of a golfer’s putting skills and require a deft touch to navigate successfully.
In addition to its world-class golf course, Pasatiempo also boasts a beautiful clubhouse, complete with a pro shop, restaurant, and bar. The club also offers a variety of other amenities, including tennis courts, a swimming pool, and a fitness center.
